Nakheel Harbour & Tower
Nakheel Harbour & Tower will not be a city within a city: it will be one of the world's greatest global destinations. In line with its role in shaping the city's future and creating some of the world's most iconic developments, Nakheel takes this project's inspiration from Islamic design and culture.
Nakheel Harbour & Tower is like no other project in Dubai or the world. This new masterpiece is the world's only inner city harbour and with a tower that reaches over one kilometer high. Nakheel has focused on creating a true community, a location for living, working, entertaining, art and culture - all concentrated in one area.
The multibillion-dollar Nakheel Harbour & Tower development covers 150 hectares. It will include 250,000 m2 of hotels and hospitality space, 100,000 m2 of retail space and huge expanses of green spaces, including canal walks, parks and landscaping.
Geographically central to the Emirate of Dubai, Nakheel Harbour & Tower will be at the intersection of Shiekh Zayed Road and the Arabian Canal, not only strategically connecting all of Dubai, but also complementing Nakheel's surrounding developments, including Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Islands, and Ibn Battuta shopping mall.
Moreover, the tower's podium sets a new aesthetic precedent for the region with a series of sweeping Islamic crescents, providing a stunning feature - shade for the public areas and gardens. Unlike other tall buildings, Nakheel Tower is made up of four individual cores, which was inspired by Islamic geometric patterns that are symmetrical and balanced. Nakheel Tower will be recognized as a groundbreaking engineering feat.
Nakheel Harbour & Tower will be home to more than 80,000 people, a workplace for 40,000 more, and will attract millions of visitors each year. These residents, visitors and workforce will be serviced by a complete transportation hub with accessible and efficient water and land options, providing the most convenient connections of choice to the rest of Dubai. This transportation hub will include a modern metro system combined with a unique water transport interchange, including an Abra and Dhow station.
There will also be water transportation, private transportation and light rail service within the development itself to provide the most convenient connections to the rest of Dubai.
